The last couple of days have been incredible. Our paper on topological qubit readout has finally been published in Nature: "Interferometric single-shot parity measurement in InAs–Al hybrid devices" (https://lnkd.in/gGvgqbCx). We shared further progress on scalable topological qubits with over 100 experts at the Station Q conference in Santa Barbara. For the first time, we demonstrated the performance of a device tuned to a qubit configuration with four Majorana zero modes (MZMs). At the event, we also unveiled Majorana 1—the world’s first Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) powered by topological qubits. This QPU is designed to scale to a million qubits on a single chip the size of a credit card (https://lnkd.in/gUsPMeRY). Additionally, we shared a paper outlining our roadmap to reliable quantum computation (https://lnkd.in/g2h_vM8P). After rigorous validation by the DARPA team, Microsoft’s proposal to build a fault-tolerant prototype (FTP) of a scalable quantum computer has been accepted into the final phase of the US2QC program https://lnkd.in/gQg-Rdmt. I've received many questions and comments and, unfortunately, cannot respond to all of them. However, I will be attending the APS March Meeting conference in Anaheim and would be happy to connect with you there. Also, we will be sharing many results publicly at the meeting, including during an invited talk by Chetan Nayak. 1. https://lnkd.in/gVTi5H_5 2. https://lnkd.in/gatN5v9U 3. https://lnkd.in/gxZHj6ry 4. https://lnkd.in/g_FVV4tm 5. https://lnkd.in/gzuHdrJx 6. https://lnkd.in/gP6_bwSv
Good luck guys! And try to find better people to write your press releases. The latest doesn’t do justice to all the great work you’ve done so far and that remains to be done! Cheers

Hi Dr. Lutchyn, this is amazing !!! Congrats!!!
Congratulations Roman Lutchyn! Amazing work!
PhD Theoretical Physics; Full Professor CSIC; President of the Condensed Matter Physics Division, Spanish Physics Society. Coordinator Quantum Physics & Materials program, State Research Agency, Ministry of Science.
11moRoman, looking forward to discuss your qubit results in Anaheim. I think the press release has created a lot of confusion and skepticism, which does not do justice to your work, mixing the results of the Nature paper (without qubit) with the announcement of the Tetron qubit and the Majorana 1 chip.
